California Real Estate Law Changes

Effective January 2, 2019

** The following are not System functionality changes, they are simply new field label terms in the MLS System to meet California Real Estate Law standards.

bridgeMLS will be making changes adopted by C.A.R. sponsored "clean-up" statutory to California Real Estate Law [AB 1289 (CA Civil Code) and AB 2884 (CA B&P Code)].

Law focuses on the clarification of terms "Selling" and "Sold by" Agent. Currently we refer to Listing Agent and Selling Agent - change will refer to Listing Agent and Buyer Agent.

- "Selling Agent" or "Sold by" -> New term "Buyer Agent";

- "Exclusive agency listing" -> New term "Seller Reserved Listing Agreement";
